I am a 57-year-old woman from Jordan. My chemotherapy began in September 2021 and I was treated at Abdali hospital in Jordan.

I was informed about scalp cooling by my medical oncologist as part of my treatment plan.

My experience using scalp cooling was better than expected. It was fine for me and I was very happy using the cold cap.

I didn’t experience thinning or patchy hair loss after finishing my treatment. Luckily, I didn’t even feel the need to wear a wig, hat or head covering during and after treatment.

My tip to other patients using a cold cap is not to brush their hair after removing the cap until the next day. And also a further tip would be that more information about hair care during treatment would be very helpful.

I am very happy with my scalp cooling experience and I would definitely recommend others to try scalp cooling!
