If you have any bald patches or areas of exposed scalp make sure that you cover these areas to prevent direct contact with the cooling cap. This will make your scalp cooling experience much more comfortable. You can use gauze cut to size, arrange any retained hair over the area once you've prepped your hair, or if you have lots of thinning or larger areas of exposed scalp a disposable theatre/surgical cap can be a good idea.
