No, the cold cap is not cold enough to cause burning. However, we would recommend the use of a disposable theatre cap to protect any exposed areas of scalp or patchy hair loss to make treatment more comfortable. Alternatively, if you have enough retained hair, you can arrange it over exposed areas of your scalp once it is dampened and conditioner is added.
