My hair is shedding, does this mean scalp cooling is not working?

Shedding doesn’t mean that scalp cooling isn’t working – many people, whether they are anticipating shedding or not, will panic that scalp cooling isn’t going to work for them when shedding starts. This is not the case, and there isn't cause for concern. Even those who have the highest levels of hair retention at the end of scalp cooling will experience shedding at some level and through out their treatment.
Shedding usually begins between days 14 and 21 after the first chemotherapy treatment, and is at its heaviest after the first few chemotherapy treatments. For most people it will begin to slow after this.
