Should I cut my hair shorter before scalp cooling?

No, you do not need to cut your hair before you start scalp cooling if you don’t want to. Shorter hair will not result in increased levels of hair retention. The only time that cutting your hair before scalp cooling may be helpful is if you have very long and thick hair – but only to alleviate some of the weight at the scalp.
However, we do recommend getting a trim prior to starting treatment to remove any splits ends or dry/damaged hair. If your hair is in good condition before you start scalp cooling, it will make it a lot more manageable during treatment.
